Ok I smiled my all the way through thisβ¦ you bring SUCH great energy to Substack AND, holy hell so many articles in here I want to check out!!! Thank you so much for assembling. π Canβt wait for the next! And, so honored to be the strikeout queen πππ ANDβ sweary spice girlsβ¦ YASSS πππ
Here's a list of 5 joys I get from Substack ...inspired by @JFT Beach's list of 25 Key Lessons on Health, Wellness, Writing...and this one specifically "Substack notes and article commenting make social media fun again."
1. The "Sweary Spice Girls" and their skill of a well-placed F-Bomb matched with strikethroughs makes me giggle every single day.
2. Eating disorder is no joke (been there myself somewhat) and I believe the true healing agent is healthy COMMUNITY and support. When we feel nourished in relationships, we are more likely to nourish ourselves with food.
3. After reading about it from JFT Beach enough, I'm convincing myself that I might just be able to enjoy a cold shower from time to time (after a sauna).
4. Substack is a place where a good Shakespearean insult can spark a beautiful internet friendship.
5. I love you JFT Beach, and I love telling people I love them...because I just DO!
Suffering, and adversity, do certainly help us grow and develop. Sometimes, however, it can feel like long-suffering will never come to an end. Thank you for the lessons and reminders. It is important to focus on the good things even when we feel lost in a sea of bad.
I love this list so much! My life has changed so much for good since I have joined Substack. I could resonate with every point in your list and yes the community here is so amazing. I too have connected with a lot of people that you mentioned in your list and the others I'm going to check out for sure. Thanks for writing this wonderful piece! Excited to read the next in this series.
I really appreciate the shout JFT and very cool way to celebrate the 100 subs marker. Big congrats and ditto on Teri Leigh as she makes Substack the great place that it is.
Excellent list! I added some follows. Thank you.
Great stuff

I'm glad you decided to keep the list to 25 at a time. Phew. I resisted following links until I'd finished the article.

No problems - honestly that nose breathing tip has been a godsend in so many life situations lately.
Thatβs great!
I slept without my mouth tape for first time in almost 11 months on Sunday. I felt so awful the next day. Like Iβd been hit by a bus.
Must try nose taping at night just do it days at the mo.
