John - you are definitely in the sequel okay (it will be called Swim Bold Swim Cold Swim Old - by the time I finish it!) 😅And I’ll be sure to get one of your multi-directional under water handstands (can Brad do this?) - as well as that speaking part!
Great to read and many thanks for your support for my film as well as being part of it. Sharing our community with the big world.
By the way please can you do another podcast after your recent excellent debut release? 🎯
Hi Nick - Of course; happy to share. Looking forward to the sequel. You still swimming at the mo? It's still pretty chilly but we enjoyed the sauna last week which was a welcome treat. Take care and hope to see you down the beach soon. Ps The tide was right the other day so managed to do a full decent handstand before ungracefully toppling!
Incredible how life can lead us down unexpected paths. The way you captured the serendipity of becoming a movie star is both humorous and insightful. It’s a reminder to stay open to life's surprises.
You and Brad are like twins! So hard to tell you apart! Although I doubt Brad would go into that chilly water like you do. He doesn't have the guts. I hope the movie gets made, as I'd love to see it!
I def want to see the full version of this movie. Where can I stream it?? and the sequel...cuz the oldie-baldie aspect of cold water swmming fascinates me as well.
thanks for my Sunday chuckle. I look forward to this every week.
There’s nothing for it. You might be typecast now. You’ll star in cold swimming movies repeatedly, with the occasional foray into a warm swimming movie. Like one of those martial artists that gets to play every fight scene.
All the big actors in the cold swimming club will know you and request you as an extra!
Y'all are far enough north for that to work. Down here in South Carolina, that would only work for about, oh, six months or so :-) Then our water starts getting hot and the tourists show up ;-) God bless those who do it, though. Y'all are tough.
Quite obviously cold water swimming is not for the faint of heart. I grew up spending summers at the beaches in Delaware, and I am positive my grandmother would never have let us swim without the lifeguards on duty. You had me at crocheting, though. I myself am an avid knitter, taught by the same grandmother who wouldn't let us swim without safety precautions. Make sure your daughter doesn't drop her work in the seawater; salt is not good for delicate knits.
I don't know Brad Pitt or any filmmakers, but my college boyfriend was once on the Happy the Clown Show sometime in the sixties. I'll see if he can put in a word for you with the red-nosed community. (After swimming in the cold sea, you might not need a fake red nose.)

Yep still swimming for sure. The sauna helps! See you down there - hopefully soon John.
Much appreciated 🙏
Look forward to it... drumming up some international interest in your movie now 😀

Thanks Anton
Pretty cool that I now know a celebrity, equally famous as Brad Pitt 😎😅
Well … you know… 🙂

Thanks Janine 🙂
Haha, I love this! Brad Pitt and you, huh?
Well, if he’s got the acting chops and the looks (and maybe some ahem work done), you’ve got the charm, the bobble hat, and the sea swimming swagger.
I can just see it now - “JFT Beach -The Man Who Took Cold Water Swimming to the Silver Screen.” Big things are coming your way, my friend.
Thank you for my Monday morning chuckle ..
I wish you the best week ahead John.
Thanks Neela. I can see a deal with MGM Warner Brothers on the cards 🙂
May I please have your autograph?
I'll upload it to eBay one day 😀

No problems Teri I'll let you know if it gets up online to stream.
Thanks so much for the shout-out. Means a lot coming from someone who is a film star! :)
No problems Lori
Fantastic piece! I love the video!
Thank you
How exciting! I would love to watch the film.
Hopefully it'll get aired online in future

Loved this - would love to see the doc, too! And thanks so much for the mention 🌟
You're welcome- I hope the film gets shared wider too.

Loving all that Linda. My daughter LOVES to crochet. Your nan was probably right water safety is key. Have a great week Linda.
That works for me - Van Dam of the ocean.
Darn those tourists Sharon! Yep it's cold in winter and mildly cold in summer! Take care and hope you're well.

How's the book coming on?
