Cute story! You succeeded at making river swimming disgustingly unappealing. In Hawaii, we need to wear surf shoes in the ocean though cause we have lava rocks here!
1. The fact that I got your puns at the end. Just saying.
2. As soon as I read you had crabbers at the river I knew what was going to happen next... and that it probably wouldn't be pretty... At least here people know to actually not go in the water where people go crabbing. Or shrimping. Etc. But maybe that's a coastal South Carolina bit of "wisdom". Stick to the sea, my friend... stick to the sea... ;-)

π That crab back story though!!!
Merci madame
Somewhere out there, a French crab family is living their best shoe-based life.
Bravo. Bravissimo. And also... never swimming in a river again. LOL
Have a good week ahead John.
Thanks Neela and to you...
Thank you :)
I donβt like river swimming either. For all the same reasons. Loved the crab story, as a cancer crab birthday baby, I get it.
Yup the struggle is real in da river!
If I stuck to the sea for swimming, Iβd only get in the water once a year! Some of us are so land locked it isnβt even funny.
But we never go in rivers, too rocky/ muddy/ infested with suspicious lurkers. I look for lakes and ponds.
You might have nothing, or an angry beaver, or a disgruntled Canada Goose. Luck of the draw!
I guess in Canada you may have bigger foe than simple little crabbies?
Made me smile! π
I'm happy with that π
Wow I'd love to swim in Hawai one day!

Stick to the sea I will Sharon for sure - have a great week.
